MISSION TO TELL TEJANO TRUTH
Abuelos de Texas exists to tell the long overlooked, overwritten, and untold stories of True Texas history — honoring the Spanish, Tejano, Indigenous Native Indians, and American-Mexican families who shaped this land & culture of Texas. We preserve the legacy of our ancestors and restore Texas history to its truth.
Redeem the Tejanos. Unite All People. Give God the Glory.
Abuelos de Texas Goals
Goal 1 – Redeem the Tejano and American-Mexican name in Texas.
Goal 2 – Tell & Teach Tejano Truth at the Alamo museum & Texas history book.
Goal 3 – Create a Texas Tejano Reservation in South Texas on our stolen ancestorial lands: The King Ranch & The Kennedy Ranch.
“Our race, our unfortunate people will have to wonder in search of hospitality in a strange land, only to be ejected later. Descendants of the Indians that we are, the North Americans hate us, their spokesmen depreciate us, even if they recognize the justice of our cause, and they consider us unworthy to form with them one nation and one society, they cleary manifest that their future espanision begins with the territory that they take from us and pushing (sic) aside our citizens who inhabit the land.”
Manuel Crecensio Rejoin, 1848
After signing the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 and declared end to the Mexican-American War, Mexican government cabinet member Manuel prophesied these words, he died the following year.
