¡Viva Texas!

Celebrating the Tejano heritage and enduring spirit in Texas — we honor centuries of faith, family, and freedom. Long live the Tejano!

God Bless Texas!

If you wish in the world to advance,
Your merits you’re bound to enhance,
You must stir it and stump it,
And blow your own trumpet,
Or, trust me, you haven’t a chance.

Without Inez, the events that unfolded in Santa María and beyond might have taken an entirely different path.I’m deeply grateful to my friend and Cavazos historian, Roberto Canales for generously sharing…

This space is dedicated to honoring the memory of my beloved Esparza ancestors. Especially my abuelas, Elma Esparza Wright and Delfina Esparza Perez (great aunt), whose lives were guided by faith, family, and love.

Abuelos de Texas is more than a family tribute — it is a living legacy. It is a way to remember and celebrate the great Esparza forefathers and mothers who journeyed across time and land to give us our heritage, our stories, and our faith. In sharing these names and histories, we not only keep their stories alive, but also honor the promise that one day, in Heaven, we will be reunited with all those who came before us and scarified so much for us.

This site is a gathering place to honor, remember, and share our family stories — keeping alive the truth of our roots in New World history and in God’s chosen land: Texas! Here, as in Heaven, every name matters, every story counts, and every prayer of gratitude echoes across generations.
